Oil leaks from the engine case through-bolts: near-universal, and an engine-out repair. This is the first cost line on any 964.
Twin-plug distributor vent belt: it breaks unnoticed and destroys the rotor. A trivial part, a serious consequence — replace preventively.
Dual-mass flywheel: normal wear, expensive to change because the gearbox comes out.
ABS and PSD electronics (Tiptronic, C4): check before purchase; the control units are expensive and getting scarce.
The manual C2 is the most wanted version. A C4 or a Tiptronic is not the same car in the market.
